61fc 0 Totternhoe First Team 2

Totternhoe travelled to 61 on bank holiday monday after a convincing win on the saturday, missing six players through injury and work commitments, the manager brought in five players from the reserves. The game ebbed and flowed with few chances falling to either team, on a greasy wet surface. Totternhoe defended well with Tony Burgess, Paul Reid and the immaculate Jack Rimmer and Jack Lauder protecting their goal.Totternhoe were playing some good passing football with Hutchings, Randall and Tracy causing the 61 midfield problems. Totternhoe had shots from distance through the veteran Gary Simpson and 16 year old Johny Clark but neither troubled the goal keeper. The half time whistle went with the game at 0-0. The second half got under way with again, Totternhoe probing and asking questions of the 61 rear guard Tracy going close yet again, they took the lead on the hour through the ever impressive Jack Rimmer lobbing the ball over the 61 goalkeeper to put Totternhoe 1-0 up. 61 tried but rearly failed to trouble the Totternhoe goalkeeper Gary Duncan. Totternhoe sewed the game up when Tracy  went on a maizey run going past four 61 defenders before cooly slotting the ball past the 61 goalkeeper. The Totternhoe managment were particularly pleased with the contribution from the reserve players namely  Paul Reed, Mattt Daly, Johny Clark Spencer Park, Andrew Killick, also the midfield trio of Randall, Hutchings and Scott.
